what if my father is a police sheriff and wants full custody of me does he have leverage over my mom because of his career? Im 15 by the way and i dont want to live with my dad.

The judge is supposed to apply the standard of "best interests" of the child. If you are 15 you can testify where you want to live, but that will not necessarily influence the outcome. Also, there is a difference between the sheriff and police. Police work for incorporated cities, and sheriff's deputies work for the county.
