Legal Question in Family Law in California

I need to file something because I am in a custody case and I am representing myself. The other attorney will not answer my calls or e-mails and I need copies of some paperwork my old attorney never gave me.

You have 2 choices: 1. obtain the papers from your previous attorney, or

2. go to the court house and pay for copies of the papers from the court file.

Make sure that a substitution of attorney has been filed with the court and has been mailed to the other attorney.
