Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have filed for a default judgement divorce because my (soon to be ex) husband never responded in any way to my petition for dissolution of marriage. Contra Costa County. I had a paralegal with experience complete the paperwork. About a month ago, with her help, I filed the request for default. It has not been signed by a judge yet, and my "husband" is begging me to put it aside or on hold. Is there a way to do this? Is there a form I would need to fill out and submit? I don't necessary want to withdraw it, so I want to understand what my options are. My "husband" is begging for more time to reconcile. I'm not sure if that will happen. Thank for you for any help you can give me. Thank you.

You have to make the emotional decision as to whether or not you want to work on your relationship. If you wish to continue on with your divorce, your husband would have to file a default set aside request to ask to file an answer to this divorce action. He cannot stop the divorce, however.

My office is situated in San Ramon and I practice regularly in Contra Costa County. Please contact my office if you would like a free consultation and to go over the status of your case.
