Legal Question in Family Law in California

I've filed for divorce two years ago. He was working with an attorney but recently his attorney withdrew because he is unresponsive to her. My ex husband has also not attended the last few hearings or mediations. We have a settlement conference scheduled on 12/8 and he won't respond to try to come to any kind of a settlement and I have little hope he'll even attend the hearing. What are my options for a unresponsive ex husband? Can I request the judge to enter into default during the settlement hearing? Or do we have to wait for a trial? How long will it take to schedule a trial?

Provide a statement of issues for the court hearing on December 8 and ask for a trial date from your judge. The length of time for trial will control how soon that trial date can be set.
