Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hello I'm filing for full custody for my child. I need to know what documents I would need to show proof she's been under my care. Her father has never been in the picture and now he wants to be a part of her life. He was very abusive and been in and out of jail and now on parole. I've protected her away from that lifestyle and now its time to take full custody. What can I do to win this case?

The threshold question that must be answered is whether or not you had a marriage. If you are unmarried, you would be filing and a serving a paternity action along with a motion for sole legal and physical custody. Child custody is a complicated area of the law. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.
