Legal Question in Family Law in California

Financial Responsibility of parent for children under guardianship

I have two children living with their aunt in California under a guardianship. What is my financial responsibility? We consented to the guardianship and originally had a verbal agreement that the guardian would be financially respnsible for the children. Now she is stating that we are financially responsible for everything. Examples are tuition for a private college, student and parent loan for education.

Re: Financial Responsibility of parent for children under guardianship

do you have a court order for support? if you do, then you need to pay the support until the order is changed. otherwise you're not responsible. you're not required to pay college tuition or to get an education loan.
