Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hello,

Is there a major difference between giving one party primary physical vs 50/50 joint physical? (She does spend more time with kids over marriage due to my commute to work.) We're OK with join legal.

(We're currently separated, she petitioned months (>6) back...still co-habing with our 4 young children.) No recourse.

If one possible plan is to sell the primary residence, (go separate ways) ie. each rent

Does it make sense she has primary physical (her pet peeve) but on the S.A. we can still agree on 60/40 parenting time? (ie. I take 3 days)

The thing is we do not want to go to court but her 'button' is the joint physical custody. She just doesn't want to give me 50/50 physical due to trust issues...same old tune in any broken relationship!

Parenting timeshare is a fluid situation when the parents have the maturity to work together on developing the timeshare. It's always good to have specifics about your timeshare in a court order to avoid any confusion at some future point.
