Legal Question in Family Law in California

The judge ruled me to pay about 15 K in sanctions atty fees for my ex husband, because I did not respond and object in time to their proposed judgment. They then ruled that judgment which added 30 pages to the stipulated agreement, including material terms. This judgment is up on appeal. The atty fees sanctions was ordered after that, despite my atty arguing the whole matter is on appeal and everything that is embraced by it. What can I do about this? My ex is an abuser and will stop at nothing til I am broke ( I already am).

It is self evident from your question that your case is highly complex and the kind of concerns you raise can only be answered by someone fully involved in your case. Your current attorney should be giving you the guidance required in this matter.

I hope your attorney knows that he has to separately appeal from the sanctions order.
