Liability for artificial insemenation

I am a seperated man from my wife for about a year now, a divorce is in the works when i return home but i am overseas right now she chose to be artificial insemenated and became pregnent without my knowledge and wants to give the child my last name is or could there be any legal responsibilty to he child from me or am I liable for costs and expenses. thank you

Re: Liability for artificial insemenation

Family code section 7613 provides that the father must consent before the procedure is done. Without your written consent you should not be liable for child support.
