Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was married for 28 years , have been separated for over 4 years, we own a house this is my primary residence, and have been paying for it by myself for over 7 years, my husband has a heritance in mexico he received when his father pass, we had been married for five years when he died, my question is if I am entiteled for a 50/50 from that inheritance when we get divorced and if I have to sell our home in California to pay him a 50/50. please reply.

An inheritance is his separate property. You do not have to reimburse him any portion of his inheritance the was used for family support. If he use his inheritance for a down payment on the family home he is entitled to receive a credit for that amount when the house is sold.
