Legal Question in Family Law in California

When my mother and father passed away i am noe one half owner and my sister is the other half owner. she is living in it now and i want to sell the house. how can i do that when she is living in it and does not want to sell. i am the exuctaor of the living trust

If the property is in California and you are both titled owners, you will have to consider a partition action. If the property is not divisible physically, the court will order it sold and the proceeds divided between you two. A partition action can waste a lot of money and time with something that should be agreed to between the coowners.
