Motion to be relieved as counsel - Where client is disabled and unable to secure new counsel pending hearing on the motion to be relieved as counsel, is current counsel obligated to continue to represent client and respond to inquiries, discovery, and other pleadings presented by opposing party in the interim ?

Yes, until you either sign a substitution of attorney, or the court grants the motion to be relieved as counsel.
