Legal Question in Family Law in California

Non-Custodial parent, moving and Child support / visitation Obligations

I am recently divorced in CA. I have a high Child Support and am unable to live on my own. If I move to another state, does the CA Court consider that less time with my 2 children and penalize me for that? Or do I have to stay here and be homeless?

If you move the child support order would still be made in California. Your best bet is stay in California and increase the amount of time that you spend with your children. The more time that you are with them the lower the support will be.
