Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can I "repossess" a truck that is in my name which I gifted to my 20 year old grandson. I can no longer make the payments or pay the insurance. Both are in my name.

This is not a Family Law question, so the following answer is not based on any legal expertise in the area of law that you are inquiring about. . Theoretically, your grandson could sue you if you take a gift back that he can prove you gave to him. But, the gift may not be worth anything if the amount due on the truck exceeds the value. If your grandson does not return the vehicle voluntarily, I would leave it to somebody else to actually repossess it. Please note that, with or without insurance, you could be vicariously liable for negligent entrustment of a vehicle should an accident occur, and your grandson is found at fault.
