Legal Question in Family Law in California

Restraining Order Responses

If a temporary restraining order was granted, and the next court date is 1/26/07, can I file my response before that date, and/or, can I still file a restraining order of my own against the family member who filed on me since the information in it is false, the ''witnesses'' perjured themselves, and the Plaintiff is incarcerated?
