Legal Question in Family Law in California

If sheriffs came looking for me at my mothers to serve me a summons and complaint but I don't live there and didn't receive it,what do I do immediately to keep them from coming back? Riverside County

Call the civil service of process unit of the Sheriff's office and tell them where you DO live.
