Step up visitation plan

I have a child in CA. What is a step up visitation plan and how does it work if I live out of state (Texas)? Thanks!

Re: Step up visitation plan

A step up visitation plan is a plan that incrementally increases the amount of visitation one party has over time. If the parties are out of state, usually one party has the children all the time when they are in school and the other party has the children for a substantial amount of time when the children are not in school. Soemtimes the children will be split up: some will stay with one parent and the rest with the other.
