Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am a total Disable Veteran who receives VA Compensation and I also receive SSD. I live in California. My question is, can my spouse ask for support when the above is my only income. We have only been married for 6 years.

Yes your spouse can ask for support based upon your respective incomes. Support is an obligation the comes with marriage. A marriage of short duration usually has a limited duration of support.

Please also keep in mind that calculating support is different at different stages in your divorce action. If you are dealing with temporary support orders, they can be higher than the support orders that are calculated based upon post judgment elements that the court must consider.
