Legal Question in Family Law in California

visitation

Because of a change in my work schedule, my ex and I need to renegotiate our visitation schedule. My 14-year-old son would like to now be with each of us 50/50, but my ex says no. Isn't a 14-year-old old enough to choose where he would like to be?
