Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hello, my wife has filled for divorce. I will be filling a response. Do I have the right to live in the marital home until the courts decide on the division. I have moved into another room, spend as much time away as I can and I stay away from her because I do not want any confortation. I'm continuing to pay my financial responsiblities toward the home. I have no other place to live until the house is sold. Im not able to afford to rent and pay towards the mortgage which is in both our names. I'm not able to afford an attorney at 300 an hour. Thank You

As long as you peacefully cohabit in the residence, there is no reason you would be required to leave until such time a division of the house is resolved.
