I agree with Mr. Green. You have plenty of reason to worry, but it is far from clear that the authorities will prosecute you -- or that they will succeed if they try. To do so, they would need proof that you and your girlfriend had sex in their jurisdiction.

At the moment, they may not even be able to prove that you are the father. That is likely to change. But they may still have a hard time proving the rest of their case.

Do not discuss your situation with anyone aside from your clergy, therapists, and/or potential defense attorneys. Even offhand statements you make to friends and family members could be used against you in court.
