Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Car Lemon Law

I bought a Chevrolet Camaro convertible about a year ago from a private dealer. The car had only 1400 on it when I bought so it was practically brand new. Ever since then the car has been in the dealer shop for warranty repair 4 times for a leak in the roof. Nothing that has been tried to fix the leak has worked. The dealer told me that is how the car is made and there is nothing more they can do about it. Also the continuing problem has caused mildew to grow under my seat that has caused a very bad smell, that has been giving me real bad headaches. I have requested they change the seat, but the dealer refuses my claim and just takes the seat out and spray something like Lysol on it. I would like to return the car under the lemon law or have Chevy replace it. What can I do??

The car brand new is 23,500

Retail price of the car now is 19,000

Whole Sale price of the car now is 15,500

I bought the car for 15,500 with the tax and license the total came to about 17,100.00

I reported to the DMV that I bought it for 13,000
