Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Defamation of Character 2

If you have a heated argument with an individual, absolutely no violence or threats can a person file a police report or restrain order without your knowledge? Why does everyone threaten with lawsuits these days? Is it that inexpensive?

IF your question is actually about you being subjected to a TRO temporary restraining order, then you'd better properly respond and defend against it with whatever facts and evidence and arguments you have. Allowing it to become a permanent order is like being convicted of a crime. Feel free to contact for the legal help you'll need, if the case is in SoCal courts.
