Insurance loss due to car stolen

need help with resolving issue with stolen car, car was located 24 hours after insident, in May. Car still in shop today. Unsafe to drive. Dont want car due to this fact. What can I do?

I guess the first question is why is the car still in the shop? There better be a good reason that it is 6 months later and the car is not done.

If you do not want the car, see if the cost of repairs is 75% of the value of the vehicle. If it is, ask the insurer to declare the car a total loss. They will not be inclined to do so if repairs have been ongoing for 6 months.
