Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

sold car as is with no warranty

I recently sold a 1961 vehicle on ebay. In the ad, it read, Car sold as is, where is with no warranty implied or written. Also, the ad stated car has been sitting since 2002 and does not run. The customer bought the car on ebay, I rec'd small claims paper work, stating he is sueing me for the late fees on the registration. Does he have a case.

You have an argument that 'as is' prevents his claim. The judge will tell you the answer to your question. Next time be more specific on details.

I'm not sure why he would have incurred late fees on registration. Didn't you have it registered as nonoperational?
