Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My Xboyfriend gave me a jeep I have a text saying "the jeep is yours no strings attached I will send you the paper work" now he says he wants it back it's a $2500 jeep all paid for I need it for getting to work so please help me

If he transferred title the gift was probably perfected. If you never got title he can probably ask for it back.
