Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Im a American Citizen I file paper work for my wife we been married for 4yrs and have two daughters. We are waithing on an interview date from Juarez. A couple days ago she got a DUI and taken to jail. While in jail she gave them a fake last name. She went to court and they told her no complants have been file agaist her. we were told that they have a year to file any complants is that true?? and while this affect her in geting her green card??

Yes, these are serious matters: both the DUI arrest and/or conviction, and giving a fake name to authorities. You need to consult lawyers in regard to her DUI charges (criminal lawyer) and immigration case (immigration lawyer).

When she applies for a visa, she will be fingerprinted. She is required to disclose all arrests even those not resulted in conviction.
