change of status from I-Visa?

I am a citizen of Germany and I have a Journalist Visa, which is the I-Visa. Could

I do a change of status to get a green card or what exactely could I do to legally

work in the US, apart from sponsorship and marriage.

There are a few ways you can self petition for a green card although the standards are very high. Usually you have show exceptional or extraordinary skill in your profession.

Otherwise, you will need a family member or employer to petition for you to obtain your green card.

You can change to H1b visa if the company you work for is willing to sponsor you. Also you can self petition if you can show eXtra ordinary ability in your field of exoertise.
