Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Hello!

In October 2011 I've got a conditional green card through marriage. I thought my Eastern European last name will cause me problems because it's difficult to pronounce for Americans so I took my husband's last name which is hispanic. I live in San Diego, California, and want to take my maiden name back because my married name causes me problems: I don't speak Spanish but everybody thinks I do. I even get correspondence in Spanish. as I was told I can chenge my last name when I will be in the process of getting permanent green card, but it's almost 2 years to wait! My question is: How can I change my married last name to my maiden one if a have a conditional green card and live in California. And more omportantly, if I file the name change in a court system now, will it cause any problem when I apply for permanent green card in 16 months? Is it better to wait and change the name while filing for 1o-year green card or it doesn't matter at all? Will I be able to change my SSN if the name on my green card remains without changes?

Thank you.
