Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Lost green Card!!!

I lost my green card about almost 2 years ago when I lost or my wallet was stolen and I never reported it. Will I get some kind of penalty or punishment when I try to apply for my citizenship? Should I report it first or just submit my citizen application?

Re: Lost green Card!!!

Just apply for a replacement greencard because it will be easier when you apply for Naturalization (Citizenship) and also in case your Naturalization is delayed. The form for replacement of greencard is the I-90 Form. If you feel you cannot do it on your own, contact an attorney. For further details you can contact our office, we can definitely help you in both (replacement and Naturalization).

Good Luck!
