Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

was in an accident .

My attormey was reluctant to investigate the person, who hit me ,for the assets he really had.

I recieved part of the minimum compensation. Do I have recourse to obtain what is really owed to me.

It sounds like you agreed to settle the case. So it appears that ends the case. You didn't have to agree to the settlement if you had reservations about it.

It depends on whether a release was signed. If you signed a release, you cannot pursue your case any further.
