Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

auto accident while working

I was in a car accident when I had to go to the bank to make a deposit and get change for my employer. I backed up and didnt see the other car and I hit it. I want to know if my company is responsible for the damages to my car and the other car.

An employer is almost always liable for the actions of an employee that were done while the employee is acting within scope and duties of his or her employment.
