Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

Thank you for the help! I'm a CA resident. Before my husband and I got married, he has owed a home and a car. After being married, he purchased another vehicle and a boat. All of them are in his name. Due to my job, I live in an apartment away from the home. I have a car, rent an apartment and owe a rental property (single family house) that is in FL. Could I purchase an umbrella liability for myself without involving my husband if I have my own auto insurance, renter insurance (for the apartment) and homeowner insurance (rental property)? Also, should I get a personal umbrella or commercial umbrella liability?

You need to talk to an insurance agent about your insurance needs. These are not legal issues you are asking about.
