Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
A garage leant us a car while ours was being worked on with no agreement we had an accident in the loaner car the other party is claiming injury so insurance is with loaner but it's our fault we don't want him to be involved can we sign a rental agreement now so it keeps shop owner free of liability ? It was a favor and our driver our insurance should handle it

If you were the at-fault driver them your own insurance will be the primary and the shop's insurance will be the secondary.
