Assault by an 8 year old child

Is a parent liable for the damages from his child pushing another kid who falls and chips his tooth?

If the child was in the parent's custody and control at the time of the injury, the parent is liable for medical bills. So, if the incident happened at school, the parent probably would not be liable. If the injury happened on the parent's property, the parent probably would be liable.
