Legal Question in Employment Law in California

In CA, if I give my employer a 2 week notice of voluntary termination, are they required to pay the 2 weeks should they let me go early? Thank you

No. You are entitled to payment for time you actually worked. In most cases, an employer can terminate employment at will.

No. Essentially an employer is entitled if they choose to fire you for quitting. The only rule is that they must give you a paycheck for all wages through your last day, plus any accrued and unused vacation, on your last day.
