Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My friend and i were hired by his friend to work at his house for 20 dollars an hour each. Hes paid us here and there but owes us $700 right now. When we asked him when he could square up the 700, he claimed he doesnt owe us and that hes overpaid us. My friend and i have kept a log of every hour weve worked and every dollar hes paid us with dates. What recourse do we have to get paid by this person?? Ca.

Your only option to force him to pay is to take him to small claims court.
