Legal Question in Employment Law in California

i have been paying for medical insurance and my employer never filed it so they want to give me a check for back pay but now i have no insurance, what should i do if i have an emergency now that i was neglected by my employer? do i accept the backpay check or seek further action against them?

If you had any medical expenses or emergencies that should have been covered in the past, then the company is responsible for paying those bills, plus refunding the premiums that they didn't pay as required. If there were no medical bills, they must refund the premiums, and they should provide coverage for the future, if they provide it for other employees. If they don't provide coverage, get it yourself.
