Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I was terminated from a hospital for refilling my own medication prescriptions, non narcotic drugs, which I acknowledge was in poor judgement, however, during their investigation, they accessed my personal medical records and spoke to a practitioner who treated me to get information. I feel this violates the HIPAA law. Do I have any options?
