Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I was terminated from my job 2 months ago and I still haven't recieved my final paycheck. When I asked why I haven't revieved my check I was told that my check was already mailed out. I checked the mailing address and confirmed that it was correct. What should my next step be

You can ask that a new check be issued, as well as verification that the old check was sent.

A California employee that fails to provide the final pay to a terminated employee (as opposed to an employee who quits) on the day of termination is liable for penalties. If you do not receive satisfaction, you may wish to file a claim with the Department of Labor.

You should long ago have demanded replacement. Do so now. You could file an unpaid wage claim with the Labor Commissioner if they now refuse to issue a new check.
