Legal Question in Employment Law in California

i work for a very large retailer as a salaried/plus hourly mgr..do they have a right to force me to stay past my scheduled shift and how much time is required for notifications of schedule changes?? should changes be in writing or verbally??

Yes they can, with or without advance notice. The employer is entitled to set and change hours, duties, titles, compensation, benefits, leaves, vacations, holidays, policies, rules, etc. just not retroactively. There are no laws against 'unfair treatment' or poor management. The employee's goal should be to keep the employer happy.
