Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I work part time for an insurance company. I was on the clock when I caused minor damage to a policyholder's car. The curb was too high when I opened her door so it scrapped against the cement. And now she is asking me to pay for her fees. She doesn't want to file a claim because it is not her fault and she doesn't want to pay her deductible. I want to know if she can sue me personally if my boss doesn't pay. I only work part time and I want to know if it will affect my credit. What if my boss gives my information away to her? Is my boss legally suppose to pay? What if she doesn't? Thank you!

If you were acting in the course and scope of employment, which it sounds like you were, your employer should be required to cover the claim for your apparent negligence. Of course, she can make a claim under her policy to her carrier (your employer) for the damage and, excluding the deductible, it all might be covered if she has appropriate coverage..
