Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Hello, almost year ago I became employed by a small, family owned restaurant. I remember filling out a w2 form and now the texts are coming up, I realized that my paychecks never had a pay stub attached with the tax breakdown. Also there were many months when I work 12 hour days with no overtime pay, is that legal?
