Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My ex girlfriend left her furniture and other items in my house when she moved out. I have them packed and stored in my garage and asked her to come get them. It has been over a month and she has left them here. I live in California. I don't want her things in my house. What is the legal way to get these things out of my house?

Although hers wasn't a tenancy, I would suggest you follow the procedures in California Civil Code sections 1983 through 1990 by giving formal written notice. Section 1984 provides a format for such written notice. If she doesn't make a claim during that period, you may then take the legal steps necessary to remove the stuff from your house.
