Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
My tenets, who I have been trying to evict for months, are finally moving out. They owe 20k in back rent. They are threatening me with a libel lawsuit because I had told people I was evicting them. The information I said about them ate true. I believe they are threatening this as leverage to avoid paying back rent. Do they have a case for liable?
