Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

attorney behaving unethical?
The attorney that I hired to handle my divorce began flirting with me. I started to have romantic feelings for him but did not act on them because I knew it wasn't the right time. I tried to avoid him because his behavior was confusing me and I wasn't sure how I felt. I noticed his office was overcharging me and I began to question the bill. He became rude and accusing and for some reason my feelings for him have gotten even stronger and I don't know why? He also never had me sign a contract for his services and I've paid him $38K. I've let him go because it was all to much to deal with and replaced him with a new attorney but I will have to face him in arbitration concerning his fees. I'm having difficulting taking him to court because I care for him even though he is not aware of my feelings for him. At least I don't think he is because I've denied it when he told me he thinks I have feelings for him. I don't know if this is normal behavior for him or if he truley had feelings for me and he's just also trying to make me think he didn't because he knows he's said inappropriate things to me. It's hard for me to gather enough strength to take him to court. I think I may care for him. What is the right thing to do?

Wow!! I am not sure that there is more need for psychological counseling than a lawyer's opinion.

Anyways, as to law, so far you have done everything right. You have paid quite a fee, especially without a contract

If you want some, or all, of your money back, you most go to arbitration.
