Can employers withhold independent contractors work tools and then sue you for s
as an independent contractor, informed owner at the start of month that financially i couldn't afford to rent hairstation any longer. She offered to let me continue working there and paying daily instead. we agreed to meeet next day, i had dr appt. i was 1 1/2 hours later than agreed, instead i received phone mess., to come get your tools,ect. out. She threw work supplies into parking lot in front of me, she also changed locks and locked door in my face when i showed up, i can not work without these items. now she's suing for 2 months storage fees. can sge legally?
