Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

My husband was taken off his blood thinners a week before he as suppose to have surgery. Then 5 minutes before he went into surgery he was given a blood thinner. He bled out for 5 hours then died of a heart attack. Can I sue for Medical Malpractice?

You would first want to consult with a cardiovascular expert, and bring all of your husband's medical records for review. Once the expert says his treatment fell below the standard of care and that the bleeding caused the heart attack, then you could consider filing a lawsuit. There are strict time limits, though, so don't wait if you wish to pursue it.
