Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Auto-Accident

We were rear-ended and the other driver admitted fault. His Ins. Co. is the same as ours. This Ins. Co. has not paid all our bills and wishes to settle for less than the total amount of our bills. Is this fair and normal?

Re: Auto-Accident

Absolutely not!!! Unfortunately, this is a common situation. Insurance companies are insidious bloodsuckers under the best of circumstances and this problem is exacerbated in your situation because of the insurer's built-in conflict of interest.

I need a lot more information to accurately determine a reasonable settlement value for your case because many factors have to be analyzed. I strongly recommend that you consult me (415/364-1604 / [email protected]) or another personal injury lawyer before making another move. Having a lawyer greatly improves your negotiating position since insurers are far less inclined to lowball an attorney. Tragically, a lot of people unwittingly settle their claims for ridiculously low sums that won't even cover reasonable future medical expenses. Don't let yourself be victimized again. Call me for assistance. Here's a web page with more information about my practice and some general tips: http://www.lawguru.com/users/law/litigator/index.html.

There is a reason why professional licensing is required to litigate personal injury cases. Legal issues involved in such claims can get complicated if you lack the requisite knowledge and experience. Consequently, it is imperative that you get the strong, aggressive representation you need to win. I am available to help.

Best of Luck!!!

Re: Auto-Accident

This is normal but not fair. It depends on the amount of the bills, the nature of your injuries, the amount of damage to your car, etc. Find a good attorney to advise you.

Re: Auto-Accident

Not at all. But who said insurance companies are fair. The job of those working for the insurance company is to get away with paying as little as possible. Go to an attorney!

Re: Auto-Accident

It may not be fair, but it is normal. Get a good attorney if you were injured and have medical bills that give the case reasonable value. Contact me if interested.
