Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

We have a company with a heavy metal door in the front. It is linked to a buzz door that unlocks when it buzzes. It is not automatic it is a standard door with a handle. The door is heavier than most doors as it is solid steel. Recently a customer slammed her fingers in the door while opening it, she later called to tell me her finger was broken. Am I at all liable for this?

Based on the facts you provided, it would be my opinion the company would be liable. You should turn the matter over to your insurance company.

Turn the claim over to your liability insurance company. If you have no insurance, then hire an attorney to represent you in this. Whether you are ultimately held liable or not, she can make a claim and file a suit. Your attorney's job would be to get you the best outcome possible, as early as possible.

If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses there may be.
